Zong-De Lee

I am an undergraduate student in the Department of Sociology at National Taiwan University, working at LOPE on an NSTC undergraduate research project (國科會大專學生專題研究計畫). My research looks inside Go-playing neural networks: they play far better than any human, yet cannot say why they chose a move. I am interested in whether such a network forms concepts that correspond to the ones Go players actually talk about, and whether those concepts can be put into words. More broadly, I am drawn to computational linguistics and to questions about how machine representations line up with human ones.
