Paper Accepted at LREC LT4HALA Workshop: Capturing Ancient Chinese Sense Induction

Congratulations to Bruce Tseng and the LOPE master’s team. Their paper “Capturing Ancient Chinese Sense Induction with Automatic Pipelines” has been accepted at the LT4HALA (Language Technologies for Historical and Ancient Languages) workshop, co-located with LREC.

The work proposes automatic pipelines for inducing word senses from ancient Chinese texts, addressing a significant challenge in historical NLP: applying modern computational methods to premodern language with limited annotated resources.

Both the doctoral and master’s teams reached LREC this cycle.
