語言學奧林匹亞競賽簡介

國際語言學奧林匹亞競賽 (IOL) 是屬於全世界高中生的 12 項國際學科競賽之一。從 2003 年開始每年在不同國家輪流舉辦。比賽的題目內容，不需要妳/你懂多國語言，或是深奧的語言學知識，而是語言的結構分析，邏輯推理，模式的細心觀察。官方網站提供了許多考古題可以先練習看看。

The IOL is one of 12 International Science Olympiads for secondary school students, and has been held annually since 2003. Each year, teams of young linguists from around the world gather and test their minds against the world's toughest puzzles in language and linguistics. No prior knowledge of linguistics or languages is required: even the hardest problems require only your logical ability, patient work, and willingness to think around corners. Give some past problems a try!

台灣國手選拔賽

第十三屆國際語言學奧林匹亞競賽已於去年 7 月 20 日至 7 月 24 日在保加利亞的布拉戈耶夫格勒舉行。臺灣隊榮獲一面銅牌及一個最佳答案獎(第五題)！第十四屆國際語言學奧林匹亞競賽即將在 2016 年 7 月 24 至 30 日在印度的邁索爾舉行。我們將會繼續組隊參賽，所有居住在臺灣的高中生都可以報名。報名將在 2016 年 2 月 29 日截止。選拔考試將在 3月 19 日 (六) 下午 2:30 在台大語言所舉行。臺灣隊將由考分最高的四到八位同學組成。

IOL 2016 will be held in Mysore, India, from July 24 to July 30. Taiwan will form a team to participate. All high school students residing in Taiwan are eligible to participate in the test. Registration is now open until the end of February 2016. The qualifying test will be held in 19 March at the Institute of Linguistics, National Taiwan University. Taiwan team will consist of the four to eight students with the highest scores on the test.
